Abstract: From 1983-1990 some 800,000 ha of Medicago polymorpha (burr medus) were established in the wheat belt of Western Australia. This was result of medic research funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation. The project resulted in the registration and release of two burr medic varieties (Circle Valley, Santiago).
