The project was highly successful in demonstrating that wheat yields in the long season, high rainfall region of the southern wheatbelt of Western Australia can be easily doubled (i.e. 3 to 4 t/ha compared with an average between 1 and 2 t/ha) with the adoption of specific management practices.
